When buying a used car, it’s a gamble and you don’t know what you are going to get. Fact.

I purchased a vehicle from 5280 and went to mechanic and it had a few issues. Ed immediately took back the vehicle and put me into something that would make me happy and they didn’t have to. They did it because they are stand up people and good humans.
On top of this, the DMV was backed up with issuing plates and Ed went above and beyond again and helping me out with a solution so I didn’t have to stand in a long line wearing a mask.
I highly recommend drive5280 and mainly because of the character of the people who work there.

After extensive research online for our new car, we found a really good deal at Drive 5280. The same make, model, and year was going for at least $5K more everywhere else we looked. The car has been running great since we purchased it 6 weeks and 2.5K miles ago from Drive 5280. More important than the quality and price of the vehicle is the service and transparency provided by the owner, Ed, and his staff. No stereotypical pushy sales people. Their approach is simply, "How can we meet your needs?" I highly recommend this business to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle

We recently purchased a used SUV from here and I am happy to say it was a positive experience from beginning to end. It was a no hassle, no pressure, relaxed environment that made it easy for us to buy an SUV. Most importantly the customer service *AFTER* buying the car was exceptional. We had a few hurdles but Ed and his team fixed all the issues to our complete satisfaction, and I would say he went above and beyond any dealership I've ever worked with. I am happy to say I will buy here again and would recommend to friends and family. Thanks Ed and the rest of the Drive 5280 team!

Ed was amazing! Ed helped us every step of the way, this was a first auto purchase with my son and it went very well. The car that we bought was very fairly priced and I feel that we received a good deal on the car. Drive 5280 was low to no pressure and very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them!

Ed is such an incredibly genuine person. This was my first time buying a car so I was really nervous, but Ed made me feel right at home and like I was part of the family. He walked me through the process and worked so well with my tight budget and was so so supportive when hiccups occurred with my financing. Now of course when buying a high mileage used vehicle, "fun" little surprises can occur no matter how many mechanical checks they do. It just happens (which is partly why I was so anxious buying older/used). Ed went above and beyond to take care of the issue though and made absolutely sure that I was taken care of. They are very honorable people and are good on their word. Now I have my dream car and couldn't be more excited/happier. I will definitely do business with them again in the future and I could not recommend Drive 5280 enough!

I don't usually hang out at car dealers, but today's outing was seeking an upgrade for my daughter.  And, if you are like me, you are looking for good places to shop - before you look for cars.  So, I look on Yelp first and pick who to do business with.   Why waste time looking for a vehicle and then find out the place is sleazy?
Drive 5280 was one of the top rated sellers, so I checked their inventory on line.

Grab some coffee and have a seat, here we go...

Web page:
I like their layout and ease of getting around in it.  It works even if you are on your phone.   Searching inventory is very easy and filtering the results is too.

The dealership:
Their location on South Kalamath is kind of a strange place to have a car lot.   But, a lot of their vehicles are kept inside a warehouse.   So, it works out OK.  When you want to drive one, they pull it out.   It is fairly small, so there appears to be 2 guys running it.

Salesman:
Ed was working with someone when we got there, he came over and checked in real quick and then went back to the others.   This cat is pretty mellow and doesn't push anything on you.  I told him what cars I wanted to see and he got them out for us.   I would suggest letting them know you are coming down.  With 2 guys there, it's a good idea to let them know what vehicles you want to see.

Vehicles:
They have a decent stock of Subaru, Toyota, Honda and Acura brands.  I would estimate 1/3-2/3 SUV to car ratio.

When it comes to the money part, Ed the owner takes over.  He needs a name tag that says that - just for entertainment value.   I had a trade in and he gave me the higher end of the value range.  No arguing involved in any part of this transaction.  That was a nice change of pace.
I didn't finance the car, so I can't speak for the loan process.  I did notice they have a link on their web page to apply for a loan ahead of time.

This was my daughter's first experience at a car dealer.  They made her feel welcome and didn't treat her like a tag along.

Parting thoughts - if you walk into some place with an attitude, I'm pretty sure that's what you will get back.  So, your opinion of this dealership and the guys there may be different than mine.  You get what you give.   So as Filmore from the movie Cars said "Feel the love man".
Cheers y'all.

I am 20 years old and this was my first car purchase on my own-so I was very nervous. Ed could not have been more helpful and honest. Even with my limited credit history, he got me an amazing first time buyer rate. The car was making an intermittent noise, which made it difficult for them to determine the cause. They promised they would fix it if their mechanic could hear the noise. It took me a couple of trips, but they finally heard and fixed it right away. I am extremely happy with the car and their service.!!

I would encourage you to read the entire story of our visit and why I would give this company 6 stars. But in summary, I have been overly shocked at Ed's honesty and integrity. We got a great vehicle at a great price. Please keep reading to get an idea of why I would recommend Drive 5280 to everyone. It is an example of how they do business and stand behind their product. We just bought a Toyota Highlander Hybrid from them. We worked with both Buzz and Ed. The experience was very straightforward and no hard salesman techniques (and I have seen quite a few techniques). We test drove the vehicle prior to buying it and it drove fantastic. However, there was a rattling noise coming from the steering column. It was driving my wife pretty crazy (and after a week of driving it, I don't blame her). We asked if they would fix it before we purchase the car. They tried, but to no avail. They told us to take it into a dealer and they will cover the costs. We took it in twice for them to figure out the cause of the noise and diagnosed a new steering column. It ended up costing quite a bit of money, and when I spoke to Ed I could tell that he wasn't expecting to pay for that much. This is where I was floored. He said, "I made a promise to you and your wife that we would fix it, and we will. I have learned a hard lesson for the future." I know that it was not a large profit opportunity for them to sell us the vehicle and do the repairs. But they valued the customer and having integrity over making money. My wife told me what I was thinking: "You don't see that very much in this day and age." And she is right. Thank you Ed.

I can't recommend Drive 5280 highly enough. Ed is great to work with. No pushy sales antics or slick talk. They were very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the car I bought. That and the 5 month warranty they offer on every vehicle means they stand behind what they sell which gives me great peace of mind. 5 stars all around!

As a first time "used car buyer," I have to say that Drive 5280 made the experience much better than I anticipated. I was dreading the sleazy used car dealership antics that I have heard about from so many others as well as the new car experience of haggling back and forth for hours. The folks at Drive 5280 made sure that neither of those things were experienced. After doing (too much) research online, I showed up at the shop with a spreadsheet comparing and contrasting the cars I had narrowed it down to (it was still about 15) and about a million questions for Ed. I test drove several different CR-Vs, and Ed showed me the Carfax history on each of them and explained how he chooses all his cars in stock. He went over the warranty that they offer and was even willing to look up Carfax on cars at other locations. After sleeping on it, I came back the next day to make the purchase on a 2006 CR-V with 93K miles , but before doing so, Ed let me take the car out for a few hours and even get it "dog approved" since making sure it was dog friendly was a priority of mine. The actual purchasing process only took about 30 minutes while I worked with Buzz. With the insurance money from my previous car that had been totaled I only needed to finance a small amount which Ed allowed me to do in-house at a GREAT deal. I can say that I drove away completely content with not only my purchase but my experience as well. I would, and already have, recommended using Drive 5280 for anyone looking for a used car! And of course the candy and dog treats for customers and pets was an added bonus as I tend to always trust someone who has a love for chocolate and dogs. Thanks, guys!
